Local Authors' Expo This special event, which takes place at BPL's Central location every year, allows local authors to talk with the public and sell copies of their books. Click here to read more about the 2011 Local Authors' Expo. |

The Bookstore The Bookstore offers a treasure trove of books, magazines, selected media, and book bags at nominal prices. Proceeds assist in funding library programs. Friends of BPL volunteer to staff the store. Take a virtual tour of the Bookstore here:

Beyond the Budget Award Each year, the Friends encourage BPL departments and branch libraries to submit proposals for the funding of new programs, equipment, or materials not included in the Library's operating budget. The Friends Board of Directors choose one project and award a grant up to $1,500 to the chosen department or branch library. The goal of this award is to identify needs and help the staff and patrons of BPL. Congratulations to Karyn Davis-West who won the 2011 BTB Award for her proposal to fund eBook training equipment. |
